The new information was discussed on Wednesday during a detention hearing for the 18-year-old Nutley High School student. A judge denied the prosecution's request to hold him until his trial, and ordered to place him in home detention. Rafanello was charged with causing false alarms for a video that led to the closure of Nutley schools on February 16. The video shows teens firing guns at children in a classroom.
